A panel discussion titled "Building Resilience in Yemen and the Role of Youth" was held as part of the Local Climate Youth Conference in Yemen - Sana'a / LCOY Yemen.
The panel discussed the role of youth in building resilience in Yemen and the importance of their participation in initiatives that seek to address the climate and economic challenges facing the country.
Participated in the session were: A. Khaled Al-Sharabi, National Coordinator for UNDP Yemen ERRY , and Dr. Nadeem Al-Junaid, Dean of Higher Studies & Chairman of International Business Department- University of Modern Sciences.
Speakers presented successful models of youth participation in building resilience in Yemen, and they also discussed the challenges facing Yemeni youth in this area, such as lack of funding and training.
The panel also discussed the importance of green jobs and the role of youth in this area, as well as the role of the government in promoting green job opportunities for youth.
Speakers called for the need for collaboration between the government, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and young entrepreneurs in the green economy .
